Hello everyone
So happy to find this place, a place where everyone can relate to each other, no matter what!!!
I have been a type1 for 31 years now, got it at age 12 yrs old , had a heart attack at 39 yrs old and had 2 stents placed in my RCA. Had a kidney scare but that's all good now-Thank God. I just recently started to carb count 45-60 per meal. I Take Lantus and Humalog. What a difference with carb counting. I finally have some control going on again. My last A1C was 8.9--eeeek!
But should be alot better now when I get the next one.
Thanks for having me and hope to talk with you all in chat
Linda

Hello Linda, Welcome to the family. You have been dealing with this for a long time, so you will probably teach some of us.

HI Linda!! Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. We have many very knowledgeable people that will be able to help you as a type I. I am type II, and there are many that help me, too. In fact, the forum has been a great help in knowledge and comfort. And sometimes it's just plain fun, which we all need.
Please post often. It sounds like you will have a lot to share, but don't hesitate to ask questions either.:dancing2:

Wow, Linda, you've been through a lot medically speaking :nurse:. I'm sure that couldn't have been easy, but you are surviving and it sounds like you are working to control it the best you can. It's not easy, by any means, but we've got to keep fighting.

Anyway, just wanted to welcome you to the forums and hope we will be seeing you vist and post often
