This is really awesome. I sure hope that one of these new devices will come soon. It's not that I hate pricking my fingers or anything, cause I don't mind that at all.....It's more that I'm a "gadget girl," and really would like to "wear my meter" rather than carry it separately. I'd also still be willing to prick my finger in conjunction with whatever I use, as I'd want to ensure some level of "accuracy."

I'd love to try the contacts! That would be way cool! Or, maybe the Navigator.....It'd be cool to try or wear at least one. I'm usually not one for clinical trials, but I'd be willing to try one (or more) of these products! :D

Contacts sound good, but why be discreet and have to look in a mirror. They should flash one color for high and a different one for low. Then you and everyone would know.

Reminds me of a line from an old H P Lovecraft song, "Walking down the street everyones eyes are flashing."

Those don't sound that interesting. Now maybe if the contacts or tatoo results were viewable on a watch, I would be a bit more keen on the idea.

I'd love anything that does not require skin penetration...I had a technician in my house this weekend that had a laser thermometer...he shot the laser through the air and determined my ambient house temperature in my living room to be 76 degrees and in the adjecent dining room out of the direct sunlight (on the north side of the house) a cooler 72 degrees...I was impressed. He shined it on my arm which was 83 degrees...My couch which was 70 degrees, floor, ceiling, etc. If we can take temperatures with a laser, c'mon, blood sugar readings shouldn't be too far away, right?

You and me both, brother. As far as I am concerned, the shots/the pump have never really bothered me, it's been the checking of blood sugars that I cannot stand.

I need something that is with me all the time. ok..I admit to a bit of laziness. With my pump I tend to believe that I don't have diabetes anymore. If my meter isn't close at hand, I have been known to guess and bolus for what I am eating.

AWWW come on......don't tell me you haven't done it! A tattoo or some other device that is stuck to my body would be perfect.

It is almost there. That is why i would not want something that just tells you "high" or "low". To me, that is worthless. I want to know exactly what my BG is.

Yeah, I dig that. I like that the readout part can be worn as a watch, as it would be easy to have on at all times. :thumbsup:

Now the only drawback, is the waiting involved for it to be released on the market. :(
