Brand new member!

Hey everyone!

I'm a proud new member of the community! :) - Over the past few years, I've had a number of close friends who've struggled with diabetes. I remember the first time I saw a good friend of mine give herself an insulin injection! She said it was no big deal after awhile, but man, that didn't look like something that could be any fun.

I build websites for a living right now and one of my personal projects is to build a website that shares information about dealing with diabetes, particularly with monitoring and testing.

I don't know a lot about diabetes right now, but I'm looking to change that :). I would like to be able to understand and support my friends through their challenges and one of the ways I believe I can do that is through self education.

I'm proud to be a brand new member of this community and I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys! Have an awesome day!

Hey Cinnabon!

I've been blessed with some incredible friends in my life and I try to do my very best to share that with others. It's meant a lot to me when my friends have gone out of their way to learn about me and the things that I struggle with and so now, learning more about them and their struggles is the least I can do.

To my knowledge I don't have Diabetes. I'm just someone looking to learn all I can about it so that I can support and encourage those who do. There's nothing that's the same as being able to support and encourage others from your own experience and since I can't do that, learning about it is the next best thing for me.

I admire you wanting to learn all about Diabetes. I can honestly say, there is NO better place than here!!! :thumbsup:
You can actually search for just about anything; from Retinopathy, kidneys, to high and low blood sugars and you will be able to read on many of our expierences.
