hello there everyone. don't know why i never thought of joining a forum before... brilliant idea.

well, i've had type one for sixteen years now but have only just decided to get a bit proactive in my treatment. it's always 'taken care of itself' but i think it's time to start taking care of myself.

i've always relied on the n.h.s. but have been disappointed lately (moved area, changed consultant) so hoping to learn as much as i can here.

well i look forward to meeting you all and sharing our experiences. bye for now!

Welcome! We are kind of in the same boat. I have just started getting back into seriously taking care of myself after about 3-4 years of slacking. It took 2 hospital stays to get it into my head, but it got into my head none the less :) Well, I hope you have fun and learn much!
