This morning when I got out of the shower, I noticed these little red marks on my feet. You know when your hands get really dry and start cracking, making them turn all red? Well, that is sort of what it looked like, except it was kinda spotty. It wasn't on the whole foot. I put lotion on them and that seemed to take away any irritation after a while. Has anyone else had their feet get quite that dry in the winter time to where it has the same effect as on your hands?

I have experienced severe dry skin on my hands and feet due to the insulin. Now that I am using much less insulin,I dont have it anymore.

Really? My hands have been really, really dry since about the end of October, and this has never happened to me before. Is it a side-effect of insulin? I mean, I have been taking insulin for almost 14 years, and this never happened before. Strange....

It sounds more like athlete's foot to me. A fungal infection. I'd try an anti-fungal cream to see if that helps. Skin problems with diabetes are common though more so in the groin area and are caused by sugar in the sweat. I've never heard of insulin causing a skin problem before.
