i have type 1 and wanted to meet people i can talk to about it. almost everyone in my family has type 2 and im the oddball i guess. im married and have 2 children all diabeties free so, sometimes i feel quite alone in my situation im looking for some people to relate to and this sit looked very inviting. looking forward to getting to know new people

:shakehand Welcome to the forum, Tarajo. I am type 2 so don't have a lot in common. But I do live in Washington state so I do have a little in common. We are getting a nice group of Washingtonians on the forum now.

Hope you enjoy the forum. There is a lot of knowledge and encouragement here. I have gotten a lot of good out of it. Just post often with questions, answers and comments. I am the only one in my family with diabetes too so I know what you are saying. It's nice to have people to relate to that are really in your situation.

If you're looking for support, you definitely HAVE found the right place. Someone here most likely can relate or has been through similar experiences and someones always willing to listen and offer experience when they can.

Hi Tarajo and Welcome to our Community. How long have you
had Diabetes? I am also married with 2 (older) Kids(thankfully no
Diabetes there...Thank God and....knocking on wood).
