hello from Canada. just joined yesterday. I hope to learn a lot about diabetes and compare notes with the group. I am currently with a research group. I inject Aventis lantus at night take my B/S in the morning. I also take a pill ( fish oil or placebo) in the morning (breakfast). My question is this, ever since I started, i have gained weight, 5 lbs and I seem to be always hungry. I don't indulge 'tho. do cardio exercises 4-5 times a week and do some weight training too. I watch what I eat (oatmeal with flax seed , cereals with flax seed, bananas, salad, omega 3 eggs once or twice a week, fish once or twice a week..etc, etc). I can't seem to lose the weight I gained, any comments from the group?

Weight gain

Research continues to show that the tighter control you have of your Diabetes, the more likely you are to show weight gains.

I am consistently 4-12 lbs/ 1.8 kg-5.4 kg above what I was before being Dx'd with T 1.5----I really have to battle to not allow the weight climb even higher
