Hello everyone.. i have a question. Anyone experience nausea when thier sugar goes high? i have had excellent control for the first time in years. It took a long time to get here. Well I find myself today with a cold, and not feeling very well. Just worn out from lots of work, and no real downtime for a few weeks now. I took the normal dose of nyquil, and went off to lay down. When I woke up, I had a very sweet .. sickly sweet taste in my mouth, and checked my sugar, and it is 167... now my normal is around 112.. which i havent varied from in some time. Now I am feeling sick to my stomach, and that kind of pain you feel when you bottom out. Although I know I am not bottoming out, and have taken some insulin to correct the high. Anyone else go through this? And if so what do you do to get through it. To me it is such an awful feeling.

Yes...
This is a normal feeling. I experience this with both a big high, or a big low. It wears your body out.
Blurred vision
Polyuria (frequently urinating),
Fatigue, thirsty, Weight loss ,Poor wound healing, Dry mouth, Dry or itchy skin.
Just a few.....

LOTS of testing.... you want to be aware of your BS at the time of stress or illness.

Yes, one of the reasons I absolutely HATE going above 130/7.2

Vision, nausea-ah, irritability, fatigue, lack of ability to concentrate, sometimes even dizziness, certainly loss of hand-eye coordination
