Deciding on a first pump, and have a question-
On the MM 515 or Animas 1250, can you, from the pump, view carb and BG histories?

I don't know about the 1250 but I know on the 1200 the answer is no.

Well heck I missed this thread, sorry
For the IR1250 no it won't show you your BG or carb in numbers. However you can go to your bolus history and see how much insulin you bolused for your Carbs or BS Correction and figure it out that way.

Does it say in the 1250 what kind of bolus it gave? I know on the 1200 all the boluses are in the same history window and it doesn't specify if it was a BG bolus, carb bolus, or what.

Yes it will list Normal, Combo, ezBG or Carb.

Hey cool, thanks.
Still making up my mind. It'll be the end of the month before I'm done with the prerequisite classes and appointments, so I guess I'm not in that big of a hurry.
Right now, I'm leaning toward the Animas 1250, but I emailed the area rep for Animas and she didn't seem all that excited about answering my questions. Took 4/5 days to get a reply and the response was rather curt. I thought Animas had great service ..?
Still have to contact the MM rep. I just really like the Animas due to the larger screen, and the carb database. Oh, the metallic blue color is really sweet too. :)
I currently use a ultrasmart for meter, and don't really want to change. I like it. Before that was an Ultra, before that a fasttake. That one was .. not so good due to the temp range problems. The fact that you get an ultrasmart with the Animas is another plus in their favor. The 515 has the RF communication in its favor though.
I looked at the Cosmo, and really liked the menus/functionality, but the size of it put me off a little. Especially with the meter attached. I do see a lot of Cosmo users on these forums, though.. They must be doing something right!
