View Full Version : My latest Blood work (in Canadian Values)

ok, just got my lab results in the mail :) Normal ranges are in brackets.

Cholesterol 4.1 (2.0 - 5.2)
LDL Cholesterol 2.5 (1.5 - 3.4)
HDL Cholesterol 1.1 (<1.1) So I need to work on this one got to eat my brussel sprouts I guess :)
Chol: HDL Tatio 3.7 (<4.4)
Triglycerides 1.0 (<2.3)

Hgb.A1C 5.4 (Bit of a disappointment to me since my last one was 5.6 and I just started the pump 3 months ago)

Is this the same as US values or is it different ?

I believe A1C's are calculated the same in all countries, however I think "normal values" might be slightly different. Here in Canada they consider normal values for an A1C to be 4.8-6.2, so I'm still well within normal values. I just expected more from the pump :)
