I've been having highs lately. Averaging in the 140s to 170s. I've noticed my vision is kind of blurry when reading road signs, and things at a bit of a distance. Say over 10 feet. I had lasik surgery 10/18/04. I was diagnosed w/type 1 on 1/14/06 so this is new for me. I see most people think it is caused by lows. I did have a low over the weekend, but it was only 60. I also have the burning tired feeling.

I've also started using the bathroom again 3-4 times at night.

Is this something that will happen often. Will it correct istself in a few days, or is it something I really need to worry about?

Hi Playgtar, welcome to the forum. :hello: What medications are you taking, how old are you, how were you diagnosed? This could help people answer your questions. I have blurry vision with highs.

Hello, welcome to the forum, I hope we can help.
From your symptoms, blurry vision and excessive urination, one would assume that you are running highs more than 140-170. It could be that your testing is missing your real highs or your meter could be off.
I'd check with a doctor and also see what your A1C is.

My understanding is that blurry vision can be caused by fluid collecting in the eye, (in the lens, I think) changing the shape and unfocusing the light.

I would agree with seacomp that your meter may be missing highs, or it could be that your eyes are simply changing. (I know that after age 40, my vision started to change almost monthly, regardless of my BG readings!)
