Does anyone find that using certain body creams raises their BGs?
Not that it has - but was just wondering about all these, coconut, mango, toffee, pomegranite flavoured creams - whether they make a difference to anyone's levels??
Thanks guys!

I use that stuff all the time and I've never noticed that it affected my blood sugars :)
Tiggy, having stuff on your skin where you test your blood sugars can affect readings, both higher and lower. Make sure the skin surface is clean before testing from it.
I was going to mention the same thing duck.
when you test for your bs, any residue of cream on your hands can effect your bs, as alot of creams have ingrediants with dirivitives like glucose or glycerin in them. the only way they effect your bs is if they are on the hand that you test with.
wash you hands first, and you should have a more accurate reading.

Tiggy, the more important thing to remember is that certain creams will incite certain responces from your partner that may cause you to go into anaerobic resperation due to extra-ciricular activities. I find Almond oil on my wife's skin to work for me. Let the kids go to bed and I wind up having to check my sugar about an hour later making sure I haven't expended too much energy without replenishing it! ;)

Amen. Low blood sugar sucks at that time. Ruins the whole **** thing. Always, 8 oz. gatorade beforehand. Always.
