I always used to buy mine through the Canadian Diabetes Association--at least that way I knew that any profit would somehow benefit me.

I buy my supplies at my local drug store, they in turn get it from a medical supply house.

Hi,
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been lurking here for a few months, learning from you guys. My son Aaron (14) was dx'd in September.
Anyhow, we live in a small town and no pharmacies keep pump supplies in stock but I've discovered a pharmacy that takes online or phone order across Canada. They stock practically everything, ship to most places in Canada within two days, and their prices seem to be a fair bit below those of the pump companies. The pharmacist who runs it is on a pump himself and has been quite a help to us.

You can browse their price lists and see if it looks like a good option for you.

Welcome, Holly. I hope to see you hear more often and to hear that Aaron is doing well. Post a thread in the Introductions Forums when you get a chance so that everyone can say hi.

When I was in Canada, it didn't worry me so much whether or not they marked up the price as I had exceptionally good insurance. The price is marked up somewhat, but all the proceeds go to the Canadian Diabetes Association and I would much rather my insurance money went to them than to a National chain of pharmacies. There aren't many branches of the CDA that have stores, so you will need to check out their website.

It looks like they only have stores in Halifax, Sydney and Victoria. I don't know if they offer a mail service.
