maybe if we get a good response to the poll we can sticky it. That way the new members who always like to know what you think of your pump can view the poll. Good Idea Funnygrl !

Dear F.G., I have the Animas 1250 and never had anything else. I started pumping March, 2005. I have never had a problem that the Animas people didn't jump right in and cheerfully, effectively help me with. I am interested in the new technology that is discussed in this, and on other, message boards but see no reason to switch right now. The pump is no pancreas panacea (I like those two words together!) but it is a wonderful tool!--Yvonne
P.S. Some people say that I am a funny girl, too!

Minimed said i could trade in my MM515 for a MM522 (the new one for free) BUT they said i have to cough up $1000 for the realtime glucometer (not covered by insurence :thumpdown )that comes with it. My parents are great and even though they could definatly use the money elsewere, they put my health in front of anything. They are the best..

So are you upgrading or not?
Me crosses fingers and hopes you say not.

You might want to discuss a money back guarantee on the CGMS before forking over the money to MM.

I see MM and Animas are almost tied for those that are happy with their choices, except no one wishes they had not gotten an Animas.

It's definitely interesting the MM is the only company people regret going with so far.

Since I have a 511 MM pump... I don't know how to answer this :dontknow:, b/c I think this pump is known to have problems ( as I'm all too aware of  ).However, if I had upgraded to another MM model maybe I'd be content with the company and maybe not.
I guess if I had to vote right now from my experience, I'd have to vote for going with a different pump manufacturer.

the mistakes minimed made...notice the pole man, look at the minimed results
I like the minimed pump but have found out that I regret choosing it because of what the ridiculous and inept billing dept at minimed have put me through.:banghead:
I will soon be posting on it when I have more time. It promises to be somewhat of a novel :stupido:

I feel the same! I have the 511 and it has been prone for problems. Maybe if I had an upgraded version I would be satisfied.

How far up the food chain did YOU go? AS I posted on the other thread, I had to go to one of their VP's. He listened, and the head of the billing department ended up eating crow. I loved it! :) she tried to make it sound like their were doing me a "favor" to write off the charge. Talk about weaseling!
