Okay I will be visiting Florida for 2 1/2 weeks to 3 weeks in June.

Have a few things to ask

Do I need to do anything special about the insulin in my pump with the heat if I am going to be outside most of the day ?
I keep my open vial of insulin in my "man purse" Should I not carry it with me ?

Thanks

Some have stated that they turn it inside of their clothes. I purchased a Frio cooler and it was great at the beach. No matter what, I always carry the open vial and a syringe, but I believe there are probably many coolers that fits it all.

Thomas uses Novolog in his pump and it doesn't seem to be affected by the heat. He is out in the heat a lot. He also keeps an open vial of insulin in his "kit" that he keeps with him at all times (even if he goes to the neighbors).
I think you will be fine.

Make sure to not leave the extra vial of insulin in your car without it being in a cooler with ice. The inside temp of a car sitting in the Florida sun can get extremely high.

Man purse, lol... Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. :)
