I have been doing pretty well since I was diagnosed a year and half ago.
I lost about 40 pounds and my A1c's have gone from 8.2 to 5.5.

My morning bg's have never been very low but went down from 190 to about 115 and had stayed in that range for about a year until the last couple of months.

Now I have a few in a row that are between 115 and 120 then several in a row that are 135-140 and then back to around 115 for a couple of days.

My food and lifestyle hasn't really changed, so I am not sure what is going on.

Any ideas

The usual explanation for this sort of observation is a virus or headcold. Even if you don't feel ill, just your body's immune system successfully fighting it off would persuade your liver to assist by producing glucose.

If it is back down and stays down, then this is a likely explanation.

dd, if you levels continue to stay up high and don't return to where they are it might be time to add medication. Unfortunately diabetes is a progressive disease and no matter how well you eat and how often you exercise, eventually you will need medication. It's the nature of the beast. It might not be time yet, but if your fasting sugars stay high then this could be a possibility. I hope they drop back down! ;)
