| | | Sweet Meet 2008 Vegas Style. Okay first off this is only a thread to see when people would be able to attend Sweet Meet 2008 Vegas Style.
We already know it will be in Las Vegas, NV. the place will not change and it is not part of the meet and greet on the east coast.
So now we need to see when to hold it. Brion and I think in January, February or March. However we do understand that some people may not be able to go at that time.
If you want to go and can not do it in those months please please give a detailed reason as to why and when would work best for you.
People this is your time to go to Vegas and have fun and learn a little about the research and what is coming out soon for diabetes.

| | Well....lol.....I was going to say February, cause my B-day's then, but I'd love to take hubby there for his, so March it is (for me).
That said, I'm always flexible, so if others want it to be earlier or even a little later, that'd work for me, too. I tend to live life "on the fly," anyway.

| | I have kids and a husband who wants to come...can't do any meet and greet until the summer. Hearing that there would be one in Vegas again was great because I can't afford going to the east coast with everyone...Vegas we could do.
However, if it's only me going (which I doubt), then I'd have to say March, preferably late March. We get our taxes back then.

| | | ohhh taxes back in march!! That's a good point. March for me too.
I have some contacts that I made at the harrahs hotels (like 3-4 hotels right by each other) on the strip that I made last time I was out there with some pricing. We, are going to make this trip as affordable as possible for everyone attending as humanly possibly, in comfort. |

| | Hmmm, I had a bright idea (if only for a moment, lol) about Spring break, but then remembered that different schools have spring breaks at different times. D'oh!
I'd love to all get together & meet some new friends from near & far. Perhaps if you & Cyborg could give time frames that could work for you & your families, we could all brainstorm on them?

| | For those of you wanting to go and can not go in these months. Please Please reply with the best time for you and your family. These months are not set in stone. As Rikki says she can not go because of children to school and also she can not afford to go to the east coast. So now you have given a reason but not give us an alternate time frame. I do not care when just give us a time frame like Cyborg. Quote: |

This will help us set a date known when people can go and went to go. Like I said the only thing that is in stone at this point is the location.

I don't pick 2008 vacation for work until November this year, so I can't comment until then. However if I can get the time off when it happens, the wife and I will be attending.

Our mortgage company didn't send last year's until mid-February. I know that there's some IRS rule that says they are supposed to be out by 1/31, but it seems that we don't get ours that early... Anyhow, the earliest we get our refund is usually end of Feb to early Mar.
Okay, so looking at the school calendar... Spring break is Apr. 7-11. School lets out June 20. Chris will not go to Atlanta next summer, but Tania will. She normally leaves the weekend school lets out, so unless we do Spring Break in Vegas, she won't come.
School starts up in 2008 the day after Labor Day.
