It's great to hear everyone who met in Asheville had such a good time. I have enjoyed looking at the photos and seeing the happy faces!

Ed, a couple of us had a brief chat about a mini-meet next spring/early summer, possibly in Chattanooga. No date, time, or venue set. All are open to discussion.

Any others in that general area interested?

Thanks for letting me know that. I'm up for that.

Timing is everything for me next year, though, due to my job. My ability to get out of town will be heavily controlled by my work schedule at certain times, if any thing is planned during the work week.

For example, the last week of May and the first two weeks of June are out for me. The weeks of July 15th and July 22nd will be tough for me too.

Weekends in general, during that time, will be fine. A mini-meet on a weekend in Chattanooga would be near perfect for me. (Chattanooga is only a four hour drive, give or take, for me.)

If folks wanted to meet a bit further south, I'd be willing to help facilitate something for Birmingham, Huntsville, or Montgomery -- or even Atlanta.

Ta for your scheduling probs, Ed. It might be best to create a thread just for the purpose of discussing/planning such a mini-meet. Chattanooga was suggested due to it being more or less central to several DF members we know are interested, including you and LadyTaz in Ga. Huntsville is not a bad idea either.

Thumbs up

I had a blast meeting everyone & look forward to future events!

I'm up for almost anywhere, but like Ed, I don't think June would work for me (or others) anyway. First, because the other, larger meet & greets are going to be in that month & two, I have to work while my co-worker is on her honeymoon (& am not yet sure what days she'll be gone). Maybe as time progresses, we can figure out the plans in better detail.

In the meantime, a fun day was had by all & I'm glad we were able to get together with those who could make it.
