Hi all, 
I was just wondering if anyone is around Tennessee? We live North of Knoxville and thought it might be fun to meet others every so often just have a small get together for dinner and share some experiences.

Update: Started  using Levemir 10 units up to 17 units, now pushed up to 22 units once a day. 5/12/2009
A1C was 10.9 3/5/2009 / BGL was 470 3/5/2009
A1C was 6.6 DOWN from 10.9 and BGL was 127 on 6/17/2009 A1C was 6.2 10/8/2009! |

T2, diagnosed 8/31/06.
Metformin 500 mg twice daily
HCTZ 12.5 mg every other day for BP
Enalapril 20 mg 1 daily (ace-inhibitor)
Lower carb dieter (approx. 75 total carbs/day, more on weekends), taking chromium, multivitamin and fish oil tablets
Initial A1C 8/06: 9.6
11/06: 6.2.
03/07: 5.3
06/07: 5.4
10/07: 5.3
05/08: 6.2 (after dealing with shingles & bronchiti)
2/09: 5.5 |

| | | I'm from Alabama. But that sounds like a great idea. You could form a small support group. Why not post a flyer in local churches, at local banks, the library, and post office?

Be happy to do that at some point. I see you're new to Levemir. I use Levemir as my backup basal in case the pump takes a dump. I use NovoLog in my pump. Hope Levemir works well for you. It's been good for me since I was allergic to Lantus. |
