Blood sugars markedly better!

I've been on insulin since July of this year. The main thought was that the diabetes was aggravated and worsened by a slew of meds I took for fertility treatments. Until a little over a week ago, I had still been on progesterone and estrogen supplementation for my current pregnancy. I had been taking 1unit of insulin for every 6-8grams of carb.

However, now that I've been off the estrogen and progesterone supplementation, I've noticed a pretty dramatic improvement in my blood sugars. I'm now down to 1unit of insulin for every 10-12grams of carb!

I'm barely out of my first trimester of pregnancy, so I know my requirements for insulin will probably increase again as time goes on. But I'm so relieved it's getting a bit better!

Anyone else have similar experiences? It makes me wonder about postmenopausal women and their supplementation and what it does to their sugars.

Im not on any other medications though so i dont know how they would affect it!
