Has anyone ever named their glucose meter?

I've seen that pumpers will name their pumps. But what about our other device, the glucose meter?

I politely call mine LB, which is its initials. When I'm grumpier, I call it by its full name.

I refer to my meter as....my meter. As in, "honey, have you seen my meter?".

Excellent. It looks like I may be the only one insane enough to name the glucose meter.

ah, if you are patient, someone later today may reveal their "insane" as you put it, penchant for naming inanimate objects.

Well I dont have a name for any of my meters. I name my car - storm, my handheld home phone is seismic, my meters will have to get a natural disaster name also. hmmm ... but what. The cat is tsunami. Will think about it tonite and get back to you on a name. I still need to name my mobile phone also.
