Hey that was only a two month difference, I don't know when my a1c actually went to the 6.6 range because the last time i had mine checked was in May of 06 then in Feb of this year, so mine could of went by really slowly since I only started to care about August so don't worry, you are heading in the right direction and that is what counts.......I won't bash you, I am the one that has the least reason too.......

Still a good job very good

gettingby, I think it's not bad, and you're heading in the right direction, so that's great! I've been told that there are alot of diabetics out there that don't care to control their BS and it's not uncommon for them to have an A1C in the high teens! I know that I've said this before, but it just blows my mind! I say GOOD JOB!

The IMPORTANT question is:

Are you heading the Right direction?

The obvious answer is:

Yes.

So, instead of getting on your back, give yourself a pat on the back.

That's a big improvement and nothing to look down on. I think it's very important to recognize progress- Diabetes isn't easy and if we can improve things for ourselves in any way that's great and worth acknowledgement. We're proud of you and you should be proud of yourself .

Again, great job! keep it up

You're absolutely right. Making that big an improvement shows that you've been working hard at it. Celebrate your progress and keep at it.
Congrats . .

As long as your are improving, you should just be happy Cin. Your doing great.

Is "bash the bad diabetic" anything like whack a mole?

Don't let it bug ya...We have to remember there are so many other important factors to consider in our lives with this disease: How do we FEEL? (very important, gimme a higher A1c reading and let me feel good versus a lower A1c reading where I was miserable the whole time). Were you ill at all? Stressed? Is the stress temporary? Are there other factors that you can control that you haven't been particularly worried about?

And don't forget, be easy on yourself. The January reading, sh...stuff happens. It looks to me like you've made the proper course adjustments, just keep on it and you'll get where you want to be.
