Proud? Nah, but I'm not upset as I know that's considered a good number for a diabetic. I was just surprised. I really thought I'd worked hard enough to go below 6.0 that's all. My chocolate binge over easter probably didn't help LOL...

Congrats injecto! Well done

I know how you feel - I was tested a while back at the hosp using (apparently) a different method than I'm used to. it was 6.1. Only weeks later I had a the normal test done (blood drawn, wait a few days...) and it was 6.3. I was so bummed... Apparently the results are roughly the same, just a difference between the two tests they use that give the different results. Anyways, I keep trying sooo hard to get under 6, but I keep getting 6.3 every time!

6.3 is something to be happy about - as is your 6.1 - but I totally am there with you with trying to get it a bit lower.

My next test is coming up in about 2 weeks... I think Easter has stuffed my chances of a 5 this time round, and probably sent me higher than 6.3 too *cringe* but I'm still desperately hoping for a pretty low number!

Some day maybe we'll both do it - be sure to tell us if you do!

Congrats!

I got my very first one back today--it was 6.8. I was told that this isn't bad and that my Type II was caught early, but I still don't feel very comfortable about it, so I am going to work on getting it lower.
