Well, as much as I praised it in the past, I'm fed up with this thing.

The other night it was reporting my BG between 200 - 250 for a good 2-3 hours, but every time I checked the meter it never fell outside of 100 - 110. I recalibrated and resynced and it kept giving inaccurate readings.

The tech support lady I spoke to said *direct quote* "well some variations are normal, just let it correct itself."

I dunno ... i'd call the difference between 100 and 250 a little more than a simple "variation."

On top of that it doesn't work at night while asleep.
During the day it randomly just stops working, or the "noise" readings will spend an hour going between 60 and 400 until finally A. leveling out or B. stop working and require a 2 hour recalibration.

All in all ... it works, on average, for less than half of a given 24 hour period. When it works, it works absolutely fantastic.

So, i'm going to keep it around and wait to trade it in for the generation 2 device. But I refuse to risk my health or spend another dime on this thing until the issues are (hopefully) resolved in the next generation of devices.

I wonder if it doesn't work at night because of a lack of movement of interstitual fluid? You're not the first person I've read about having problems with it during night.

Out of curiosity, have you noticed if it works better around periods where you're more active?

If I went to sleep or take a nap then it would start scattering all over the place and then just stop working, requiring a 2 hour recalibration. Their in-house Dr. told me it's more than likely a build up of interstital fluid. I guess it's not their fault, but even still ... what good is it to me?

It worked better when I'm awake ... but that doesn't say much considering it'd stop working for no reason, give me grossly inaccurate readings, etc etc, the list goes on.

Sorry to hear that it wasn't exactly reliable for you. I tried it out for about a week and it was almost perfect the whole time, waking and sleeping. I still wasn't convinced enough to purchase one though, at least not until somebody covers it and they make improvements on it.

I have the Guardian, which also uses interstitial fluid. It usually works perfectly fine for a 3 day time period (day and night). After 3 days the results become questionable.
