Testing on the go/Work/etc...

Hi all! I haven't been to the forums in quite some time, but it's time to buckle down and get some help!

I have had serious problems bringing my meter/remembering to test when I am away from home or at work. I keep a meter at work, but am so busy I often forget.

I am looking for any strategies/successes people have had with carrying your supplies around without it being too "bulky" and cumbersome. Specifically men who, like me, typically carry what fits in your pant's pockets.

I know it may seem like a strange post, but hopefully I can get a few suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

A fanny pack might work for you. You can find ones that aren't bulky and won't get in the way.

I use pump alarms to remind me to test every 2 hours. I simply leave my supplies on my desk.

SInce I use the ultrasmart it comes with a nice large carrying case. I just simply carry that around everywhere with me. At work it sits on the desk next to me and doesn't stand out. When I'm out, I generally wear cargo pants so it fits nicely in one of the cargo pants pocket.

Anything extra for my pump, I just keep in my car or my office locket.

I sometimes keep the spreadsheet I'm sending you open on my computer at work. It's always there as a reminder. And the pretty pictures make me look important!

Carry a man purse! Just kidding

I haven't used it, but the new freestyle meter is reeeeally tiny. There are also other ones made to fit on the bottle of strips instead of a cap. Another one I saw was the size of a pen.

I think they would all be pretty pocket-friendly.

I'm in my own little office with my computer at work, so I just put my meter where it's within my line of sight. Do you have an alarm on your watch? They say it takes 3 weeks for something to become a habit, so until then, use a post-it note to remind you...soon you'll do it by rote.
