| getting hooked up to CGMS AGAIN.... Oh what a choice. In the recent years (2 ) I have had an A1C that hovers around 7....well with much attempts to bring it down and keep all in check I just couldn't. I even did weight watchers for a year and lost 25 pounds etc....My doctor changed my ace inhibitiors a few times as well. This last time he changed them he wanted me in a month later to check labs. Well did that and ALL looked GREAT except ....you guessed it GLUCOSE....So after reading his report it took all of about 5 mins for me to call and ask to be put on a CGMS. I have done this 3 times before and hated the dual device, not getting it wet etc....but hey this is my life and I hate not having control over everything that I can...so I am hooking up on May 7 and the dietician told me I can wear it up to 7 days.....OH My GOSH....anyway I told her I would wear it Monday through Friday and bring it back in. My weekends are too packed with activities (Special Olympics, Diabetic walk, and a variety of other once a year events...) that I didn't want to bother with it then. Also, I am beginning to think that insulin resistance is slowly creeping up on me...it has only been 30 years of taking insulin so it could be an issue and the symlin too. I just need the info I guess! Anyone else have insulin resistance? or everything in sync but then you can't get your A1C to go lower no matter waht you have tried?
