It's not the IR cable? I'm so confused...what software exactly is it you are using? Copilot? Cozmanager? Other?

I think there's a misunderstanding going on here. Perhaps the Lite now has a USB cable, as opposed to the original Freestyle Flash serial cable (serial connector pictured):

However, the only way that the Cozmo pumps communicate with the Cozmanager software is via IR cable, such as the one pictured here:

Please clarify what cable you are talking of. It may be possible that the Cozmo pump does Not communicate with the CoPilot software as of yet?

As of today, you have to download your readings to CozManager and then transfer them to CoPilot. But by the beginning of August or so there will be a new cable that you will be able to directly download your information to CoPilot.

Is that any clearer?? Or is it like MUD!?!? LOL!

... Walgreens charges $103.99 for a box of 100 Freestyle or 100 Freestyle Lite strips. I remember a year ago when it was only $89.99.
All the big brand strips are higher. Have you priced the One Touch strips latey? Ouch.

Thank God for insurance in my case.

Even though it's more convienent not to code, it's very INCONVENIENT to switch strips or to have 2 kinds and have to worry which of the strips that look very much alike to take with which meter. Confusing.

I do mail order and get 3 month's worth at a time, and when I do all boxes have the same code, thankfully. That makes coding less of a bother.

Is this “new” cable for the FreeStyle Lite a USB cable to be out in August or is Abbott still stuck in the stone age with an obsolete serial cable?

Not sure if you are talking about a meter, but if you use the Cozmo pump, you can now download via IR directly from your pump to CoPilot. You have to contact Smiths Medical to get the extension software needed for this, but once you get it, it is sweet!
