| Unfortunately that is within tolerances although I'm surprised they didn't give you a free meter. Meters are only required to be 20% accurate over 100 and within 20 under 100. So if you were "truely" running 90, both of those numbers would be within limits unfortunately.
However, most times unless your hands are dirty, you shouldn't get eroneous readings. I would call them back up again and tell them your meter is giving readings further off. They will then most likely send you a free meter.
