BG Monitoring Meter

Is there any way to get BG monitoring meters free of cost. Actually, I have one Freestyle meter but I believe its giving me false readings and when I called customer representative she told me that the reading of 75 and 106 (which I got within 2 minutes) are within tolerance limit of the meter, which I think is ridiculous. So, I think I will not get a replacement of my current meter and therefore would like to get some different meter.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Unfortunately that is within tolerances although I'm surprised they didn't give you a free meter. Meters are only required to be 20% accurate over 100 and within 20 under 100. So if you were "truely" running 90, both of those numbers would be within limits unfortunately.

However, most times unless your hands are dirty, you shouldn't get eroneous readings. I would call them back up again and tell them your meter is giving readings further off. They will then most likely send you a free meter.

I called about a TrackEase monitor I had and the man in tech cust. service told me I had to test on the same hand within 15 mins. He also told me that my 45 points difference was in range. I said but that is so much different. How could that be? He said test with your tester bottle.. It said it was okay.. and in range.
I have tested one right after the other with a new Bayer Contour and it is within two to three points the same if I test one right after the other. SO, I came to the conclusion something was wrong with the TrackEase. I took it with me to the doctor and they tested me with the one that they had which was a Accucheck. It was in line with the Bayer Contour and not anywhere near the TrackEase. Though, the lady at my drugstore swears by the TrackEase. I just did not feel safe with it being so out of line.
