| | My meter averages are :
7 day 6.6 (119)
14 day 7.5 (135)
30 day 7.5 (135)
We have just been on a cruise, and the food was amazing. So I need to work on bringing those averages down again. I also recently switched from whole-blood to plasma meters. So readings are 11% higher than they used to be. Interestingly, I am still aiming for the same figures, and I am finding them easier to achieve. The only explanation I can think of is that the closer to normal the blood glucose numbers are, the less volatile they become.
I am very envious of those numbers, Cyborg. But I won't be able to get that pump just yet.

| | | 14 day is a high 8.2 mmol/l due to a couple of sets that failed to work. Not only were there mid teen values, but I test very frequently to ensure downward movement. |

just noticed your location! we used to camp at a beach near Souris.
i have memories of catching cod by day and going down to the beach and cooking the cod in foil in a campfire on the beach!
beautiful place! i was annoyed the day we had to go and visit Green Gables. i was a 12 year old boy and it meant nothing to me!

14 day average is also 6.2 as of today.
Unfortunatly it's slower due to multiple hypo's almost every day

What's the difference between the 2 types of meters and how do I know which type I am using (UltraSmart)?
I never could achieve numbers this low while on MDI. The DP was kicking my butt and having a variable basal helps tremendously. I have been tightening up the spread (less lows and highs) and this is important to me.
BTW, I read Lloyd just got a 4.9 a1c...

(whole blood calibrated meter so readings 12% lower than most peoples' readings on here) more exercise this week which accounts for the fall. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
