After reading all the info on this, the thing I find most intriguing is that you don't choose when to calibrate. It asks you for a calibration when it is consistently getting stable readings. You can't calibrate outside this window, as far as I can tell.

There is no doubt in my mind that this will work with Cozmo.

At last!!!! The accuracy looks good. The size looks huge....but I think they will shrink it before it hits the market. This one I might buy....with my own money even.

Wow, it looks like a brick (receiver) and a half (transmitter). I'm glad I didn't wait.

It won't shrink because then they have to redo FDA approval. Remember, this is approval on a device that is at least four years old in the making. Compared to what MM had four years ago this think is amazing.

I do think though that they will most likely have a 2nd generation out by sometime next year.

I've been waiting for this and have to admit I was disappointed at the size. I do realize it's the old design that finally made it through the process.

I would like to see the receiver made small enough to fit the back of my cozmo (a la the Cozmonitor.) I hope they are working on an interface now, to make it truly a convenient package. Like the cozmonitor, I would like my pump to recognize readings from the monitor and incorporate it into my pump history. If chips get small enough, it would be wonderful to have it in graphic form. (Dream on, Mich.)

The size of the transmitter is just silly. It should be the size of our infusion sets at the most--just a hearing aid battery and a printed circuit. With the proliferation of printed circuitry and nano technology, one would think they could get it all down to simply patches with tiny under-skin sensors or even through-the-skin sensors using light.

The size of the transmitter doesn't phase me much. It's big, but flat, so it would be hidden easily.

The size of my guardian transmitter is small, but what's the point if it's worthless accuracy wise?

I expect that as was mentioned that a Gen 2 product will be coming out pretty soon ( 18 months ) . Adding a bluetooth receiver to a Cozmonitor like package wouldn't be too hard - the cozmo and the Navigator receiver both have 4 buttons... should be interesting to see what comes of all this

The size of the Navigator's transmitter/sensor is,
2.05" length 1.23 width and .43" thick

In comparing the three. Navigator's length is .55" more then Dexcomm and .65" more then MiniMed. The width is .33"more then Dexcomm and .13" more then Minimed. Just .3" in thick over dexcomm and .13" over Minimed.

You think this will be on display tomorrow at the Boston Diabetes expo?
