| | Freestyle flash (3 of them), type 1.
Funny freestyle story: When I was first dating my fiance, I left some used test strips in her trash before we went away for a weekend to Colorado. When we got back, she found the strips while emtying baskets which she didn't recognize and immediately conjured up images of condoms (freestyle is a good name for a condom don't you think?) and blamed her son and his girlfriend. Big fight, accusations & denials flying until I called later that day & cleared up the mystery. Funny now anyway. Touch & go back then.
Mike

| | One Touch gal all the way. I have the US, Ultra2, Mini, and an original Ultra somewhere. Type 1.
I would love to use the Cozmonitor with my pump but my insurance won't cover the strips.

I'm curious as to how you know what diabetic types are ordering the meters. Does type 1 or type 2 appear on the orders? |
Well, it's quite easy to tell apart because type 2 patients usually order less teststrips each time And also, some kommunes (counties, sort of) has separate departments dealing with type1 and 2. Just something i happen to see sometimes when folding the packing list

| | Hmmm really interesting Then it's quite different to what it's like here And also, when i worked with old people a few years back, there was also an Elite meter being used to test the diabetic patients.
The Contour sure is popular here anyways. I send out the Microfills a lot
Personally i'm an Accu-Chek girl really like my Aviva, and the Compact plus (though i only use my Compact plus when wanting to carry as little as possible) My first meter was an Precision meter, and i still have that one and using it for testing ketones if needed...

| | | I'm T1 and have an Ultrasmart. Also have one of the little mini ones as a backup, but the Ultrasmart has been in constant use for a few years now.

| | | Hi All-
I just pulled a boo-boo. I do not know how to get rid of it.
What I wanted to do was to post a reply as to what kind of meter I use. I am a type 1 and I use an Accu Check Ultra II. And it does a pretty good job for me.

| | | I have always wanted to use the flash, but it never has given me readings that I feel are accurate. I'm most comfortable with readings I get from the Ultra line so that is what I have gone with since BD stopped making the Logic.
I'm type 1.
