I like to use the One Touch Ultra Mini. Yesterday I received a Relion Ultima. The Ultima is consistently higher than the One Touch Ultra Mini.

I checked the calibration on the Ultra Mini with the control solution. I got a result of 107. The range on the control solution was 97 - 127. The Ultima doesn't come with a control solution only a control calibration strip.

So after my dinner last night, I got a 138 from the Ultra mini and a 208 from the Relion Ultima. This was after calibration again.

This morning, 155 with the Ultima and 118 with the One Touch Ultra Mini. I haven't eaten in over 9 hours and I "felt" low as I'm relatively new to having my BG numbers down in the lower 100s. I have a slight headache in the morning when I feel "low."

Anyone else use the Relion Ultima or have had problems with it reading high? The strips are about 1/2 the price for these at Walmart, so that is why I was trying it out. Get what you pay for??
