| | | I have a little bit of info.
The CareLink USB went up on the website either Sunday night or Monday morning. The rep's are saying 4-6 weeks for shipping. You will receive a confirmation email when it's shipped.
The CareLink USB only communicates with the Paradigm and the Guardian. It's doesn't communicate with the meter or their future meter.

Did they have a sudden stampede of orders on them when the word got out about the offer? Mine took two days I believe, for it to arrive.

You remain with in about 2 feet from the link (or less), log into the website, select upload (After you have given them the serial number of the pump and select the carelink USB device), it sends a signal to your pump and your pump will go into SUSPEND mode, then for about 10 seconds, it downloads all the data that your pump has collected, then, it sends it to the appropriate report settings and you simply click on "reports" and select which report you want and print, it also saves the setting from your pump.
Vista users need to download a USB driver from Medtronic, go to the help/search menu and enter in "vista" and the proper driver will be offered, click, download and install. You will have to use Internet Explorer to use the carelink, and, go to the tools tab/internet options/security and UNCHECK "Enable Protected Mode", after that, select apply and close out the browser. Now, go to either your desktop or your start menu/prigrans/internet explorer, right click, and select "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR". You will go through the remaining steps o set up as outlined, fairly easy, the above is only done ONCE on your computer, and you will get the option to re-enable your security options and sign out as administrator. After that, you just log in, select upload, confirm your device and go through the upload wait of about 20 seconds or less and get your reports, you can print them easily for your doc to have.

| | | The lady I spoke with was very surprised when she found out some people have them already. She wasn't expecting them to be available for another couple weeks.
How much data do you have on your pump that it only took 10seconds?

Wow....did I get that wrong. Guess I have a carelink usb coming that I can give away. Unless something changes, I won't be getting a Guardian anytime soon. |

| | | You don't need the cgms. You can still upload your pump data.

| | | Yeah, Carelink is still a good resource to see what your pump settings were at any time, look at bolus history (and bg history if you put bgs in or use the meter or upload your meter). It will also make graphs showing your insulin use and such. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
