The picture with her daughter holding the box makes the box even look huge but it wasn't.

Yes it is not much bigger than the Ultra 2 , the pics with my daughter are more to show the amount of waste that went into shipping it to all of us. |

| | | I am dissapointed. Too big, compared to the U2, meters should be getting smaller, not larger, IMO.
No backlight is the real kicker.
Until Minimed updates the sensor calibration issues, this new one will sit unused.

| | | I honestly don't think I would use it. I didn't like the BD meter because of its size. I will probably continue using my tiny meters and entering the information to my pump manually.

| | | This thing is freaking gigantic. I was hoping to get something a bit smaller. I guess I'll just stick to the BD/NOVO since it barely needs any blood. If this new one had a backlight I might have considered switching.

| | I've been using an ultra smart so the size doesn't bother me. it's not huge. smaller than my first one touch profile. I like it alright. I love the accuracy of one touches though. I will use it. |

| | | I totally agree with all the "too big" comments. The meter itself isn't huge, but the case is.
As a man, I don't carry a purse or similar type thing. It would be nice to have something small enough to put in your pocket.
I also am a cyclist and less is more when it comes to taking along supplies.
Apart from that the meter seems easy to use and I just ordered the USB link.

| | | I agree - the case is way too big.
I haven't tried the meter itself yet. Considering the size of the UltraLink, and the thirsty Onetouch strips, I'll probably just stick with my BD Link/NovaMax. It will certainly serve as my main backup meter though instead of my U2. Though I haven't had to use a backup meter once aside from forgetting the primary at work a couple times.
