stupid Bayer Ascensia Contour :)

This morning had blood test done for numeros things including fasting bs. lab showed 4.1
Bayer Ascensia Contour showd 6.6!
Quickly went to grudstore and got FS Freedom.
Before dinner Bayer Ascensia Contour showd 5.0 and 4.6
FS Freedom showed 3.6 and 3.6
So I've been low for a whole month!

That's not enough tests to confirm. All meters can be off a few tests. The lab may be a different test, a plasma whole blood thingy difference.

Ye I agree that it isn't enough tests to determine if your contour is inaccurate. There are so many factors involved when it comes to meter accuracy that really it depends on the positioning of the moon and other things. Even then you forgot your meter has a 20% inaccuracy, other reasons for inaccuracy can be what you washed your hands with, which finger you used, how much blood you got out and how much your meter actually picked up etc. This is not an exact science unfortunately if you search on these forums you will find out the price you would pay for 100% accurate testing. It involves a huge brick and fcking expensive test strips with a wait of like a minute or more.

and another.... how the **** I'm gonna now if I'm way under? I didn't feel the diferrence between 35 and 7.
just went to hospital to talk to the doc.(3.6 before dinner, 3.9 after. ate a whole apple, 20 min later FS showed 4.7, hospital showed 3.8)
what is going on? doc said red. insulin by 10%
