OneTouch UltraLink . . . lost :(

I seem to have lost my UltraLink, and can't find anywhere online to buy a new one. I'm so upset because I had it for only a couple of weeks; I was so excited to have it too! Grrrr!

Anyone know where I can get a new one and how much they cost?

As far as I know, you can only get the UltraLink through Mini Med or Lifescan. They are not sold in stores. Try giving them a call and explaining your situation. Maybe they will send you out another one free of charge.

Good Luck!

Karen
I'm still waiting for my UltraLink to arrive!

Thanks for the info . . . but man that sucks. I really don't wanna call, I *highly* doubt they'll send me another one. I can just see the conversation:

Me: Hi there, I'm an idiot and lost my monitor.
Tech: Okay, that'll be $4,251.84.
Me: What?!?
Tech: Yup, $251.84 for the monitor and $4,000 to teach you a lesson.

Perhaps they're running a special today and they are the waving the "teach you a lesson charge" Give them a call, it can't hurt. Sorry you lost your meter.

Maybe your doc has one in the office? My endo has a veritable meter store in the supply closet. At least one of just about every kind on the market. You name it, he's got it.

Remember also to check the sales papers for all your local chain pharmacies (like CVS or Walgreens) to see if they have a special on the UltraLink.

I'm really sorry you lost your meter. I know that's a bummer.

Thanks for the morning laugh, lugnut!

Honestly..........I'd give Mini Med a call and explain to them what happened. If they're not willing to send you out another one, then call LifeScan. Good luck!

Lifescan especially--their money's in the strips, so it's worth it to them to keep you happy.

I once, um, dropped my meter in the toilet when I was testing, and I can't remember which company it was, but they overnighted one to me. You could say the same thing ...

Good idea!

I have this thing with losing meters (almost always temporarily), but this is the first time I've lost one for good (it seems.) I'm wondering if the UltraMini would be good for me. Always be able to keep it in my pocket or something. Anybody know if you can get readings off of it onto your PC?

The new UltraMini can get readings into a computer. Just beware, supposedly it's been out for about 2 months and I've yet to find one in a store. I think there's a surplus of old ones that are filling the shelfs so you may have to shop to find the downloadable ones.
