A nod to the Accu-Chek folks...

When testing with my Aviva this a.m., I got two strips that gave me an error code before I applied the blood. Called the Accu-Chek people and they determined my meter was OK--bad strips. Soooo, they're Fed Exing me some replacement strips! Free!

Two thumbs up to their customer service. It's nice when the system works like it's supposed to. LOL.

Accu-chek has always really impressed me customer service wise. They sent me a bunch of Multiclix drums when I wasted a few learning how to use the Multiclix back in the day.

Accu-chek impressed me when I first got my meter.

Here I am Day 1 and not a clue how to use the thing. I read the directions, insert orange chip, nothing happens, try and try again. I am nervous and frightened already (remember day 1) and call the first 800 number I can find.

I think I'm calling the distributor. I have my invoice number at hand and am asking them why they don't know what they sent me and don't they know anything???? Accu-chek customer service rep is so patient with me, calming my panic, and reassuring me they would fix the problem. They went so far as to call my local pharmacy and arrange a free meter and 2 vials of strips so that I could start testing right away. They sent a return label to me for USPS to send the faulty meter back to them when I could.

In today's day and age of NO service theirs is exceptional.

Accu Chek has always been great to me.
They have helped everytime on the first call.
When they send a new meter to try, they send at least a 50 count bottle of strips. So with the usual 10 that come with the meter that is 60 strips, you can get a real feel of the meter that way, the usual 10 that comes with other meters is not enough strips to get a true feel of the system.
I use the multiclix , I have a few of them and use them with whatever meter I am using at the time.
I have never paid for any of them, they just send them to me when I ask for one.

At the risk of sounding greedy, a vial of 50 strips would be a blessing. I wouldn't have to buy any more strips until payday! That would be great. I'm such a skinflint. LOLOL.

Does not sound greedy to me. I stock up on anything that I can get free or cheap . I use what I need and if anything is extra that I do need I pass it along to other diabetics.

Got my strips yesterday: a vial of 50! WOW! I was expecting, maybe, 10. That means I can hold off on buying strips until payday. YAY! Go Accu-Chek!

I just called them and told them I had lost my meter. They are sending me a new to use with the strips I currently use and a new one to try. I really like them. I've never had a company send me a free item when I lost something before.

i bought the compact plus earlier this year and love it! no more handling of strips... i later found out that they had a coupon for a free meter, so i got another one, which i love have 2 of them and my first one started acting weird, the strips wouldn't release when i pressed on the button, i told them about it, they sent another one... plus free batteries, log book, and i ordered the compass software to download my meter to my computer and they're sending the cable with the digital eye (infrared unit) for free...
