Thank you for this thread, the lancets/lancing device that came with the WaveSense Jazz blow...

... seems the consensus is Accucheck's multi/soft-clix are tops?

Accu-Chek Multiclix by far. Their Softclix is good, too, but I like the drums witht he Multiclix. The Accu-Chek lancing devices are in a league of their own.

Haven't tried the multiclix, if it's bigger that would be a negative for me. Softclix for me, too... when trying or using other testers (I generally use Accu-checks anyway) the other lancing device usually gets dumped in a day or so and the softclix stands in, every time.

I just started using the multi clix. How long does a drum last? I have many diff lancing devices, seem to collect them LOL. Accuchek by far has the best and Multiclix has been the best of those so far but drum cost and usage could be a big deal to me.

I like the one that came with my OneTouch UltraMini -- NO recoil!

I thought the multiclix was awkward ... I have one... may change my mind later.

Does anyone know of a brick and mortar store that actually sells a Multiclix? I checked out WalMart, Meijer, and Rite Aid today, and they all have the lancet drums, but not the device itself!

Almost bought a SoftClix. . . want to see if I can get a MultiClix first, since people seem to rave about it.

The lancer that came with the WaveSense Jazz is OUCH!

I've seen them at Walmart, CVS, Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens.

Just buy an Aviva- generally cheaper than the device itself. Device itself seems to go for ~$30.

try Costco too. Also maybe a call to Accu-Chek and tell them you want to try one out. Their customer service is da bomb and maybe they would comp ya one.

No matter what lancing device you use, your fingers are going to hurt at first. They will eventually toughen up and it won't hurt anymore but at first, you just have to have sore fingers. My "favorite" lancing device is whatever comes with my meter. I use One-Touch meters. IMO, a lancing device, is a lancing device, is a lancing device. On the bright side, know if you ever chose to or need to go on insulin, pricking your finger hurts 10x more than any insulin shot

I found a Multiclix at CVS today. None of the local Walmarts, Rite Aids, Walgreens, or Meijer Stores had them (some have the drums though).

Anyway, I've used it twice so far and already it's amazing compared to the device that came with my WaveSense Jazz. I barely feel it, to the point that I think "did it go deep enough?" And then I look, and yep, it went deep enough.

Cost $20. Picked up a pack of 17 lancet drums for another $18. If it stays this jab-free, it'll be worth it.

Also, it fits in the pouch that came with my Jazz... barely, but it fits...
