Low A1c?

I was dx t2 on Sept.5 08 with A1c 7.7, FBG 16(288). Just got another back today, Oct. 30 08 with A1c 4.3 FBG 6.1(110). Lost 30 pounds or so, down to 260 on 6ft 3in frame. I know it's a little early to have done another one, but my work wouldn't allow the 7.7 to be the last report on my file. Now I wonder if it's too low? Anybody?

Thanks

Considering that the A1c is effectively an average(mean) of your BS for the last 3 months or so (weighted toward the last month) a drop from 7.7% to 4.3% in just less than 2 months seems quite remarkable. Where they both at the same lab?
I don't think it is possible to have an A1c that is too low - 4.3% correlates to an average BS of 4.21 mmol/l - how have you been feeling through this last month? Bear in mind that A1c is an average so it can still be "good" even if every morning you are high and every afternoon you are equally low - in other words it needs to be judged alongside your own BS testing record.

Ya, I feel great all the time. It's the same lab. My meter says 14 days average of 6.3. I suspect a poor reading.
