What??

Hi all...

I have no idea what was going on with me today, but my readings were unbelievably good...at least compared to the past 2 days.

My fasting BG was 92; it's been 128 and 137 the past two days. My after breakfast reading was 101. My after meal readings have been anywhere from 109 - 182. I'm very happy with my readings today.

One thing I did last night, and I don't know if it made a difference was to have a spoonful of peanut butter before I went to bed. I'm going to try it again tonight and see what happens tomorrow morning.

I also ate a lower carb breakfast this morning. I had scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage, 1 piece of wheat toast with butter and grape jelly, and iced tea. Yesterday, I ate a whole english muffin with grape jelly, and my reading was 135 after 2 hours. Maybe the wheat toast was o.k. or maybe it's because I only ate one piece. Who knows?

Talk about a learning curve. I feel like a scientist instead of just a science teacher.

Lori

The english muffin breaks down slowly so your sugar will gradually rise instead of going up super fast. It gets confusing. Good job on the readings, though!
