My Glucose tester registers 1-30 with 5-7 being normal,my Dad who lives in the states measures his from 1 to 500 with around 100 being normal, is there a quick conversion table to make it easier to understand the differences?.

1 mmol/l = 18 mg/dl. There is also a handy converter on this very page (look to the right - "Converters" - "Blood Glucose Unit Converter".

mg/dl is what we use in the US
mmol is what the rest of the world, including Canada, uses.

Like Subby said, your mmol reading times 18 will give the mg/dl number.
