I totally agree that LOW carbs are the best way to get a morning BG under 100. Since quitting Glipizide a couple weeks ago I have had those sub 100s; just waiting to see what I do the rest of the day to decide if I need to up the Lantus up one unit tonight. Do you feel a 111 is too high for a morning BG? I guess if it doesn't continue to rise then I've found a good regime. At least I'm not back to the 60s.

Rest is very important. I hope you find time to catch up. Do you have a plan on how to lose that 2 pounds? I'd love to hear your plan.

Although, I usually run 5 miles in evening on most of the day’s in a week and but still it doesn’t help to stabilize morning sugar levels under 100 consistently? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
WOW! Your A1c is great! Low carbs at night and exercise at a different time might even things out; just keep testing and writing everything down. Congratulations on undertaking diabetes without meds and doing such a good job.

I stole a few strips off my husband last night to hold me today, and tomorrow I'm buying an "emergency" Freestyle meter with 50 strips, to hold me until either the strips I bought on June 1st arrive (international shipping) or the free ones I'm waiting on from the government arrive (I was promised next Thursday, but who knows when dealing with a bureaucracy).
