That would be your good friend, the liver, helping you out for having the nerve to sleep in.It's called, dawn phenomenon. Around here, we call it DP. The liver is helping you get ready for your day and it dumps glucose in to your system to give you energy. Nice, huh? Seriously though, it can happen any time in the middle of the night whether one sleeps in or not but some people do find that there is a price to pay (higher fasting number) when they sleep in.
90 for me this morning and I'm headed out to walk here in a few. Gonna be a hot one today in CA.
