Keeping Track of time

So how do y'all keep track of the time and know that 2 hours have passed?

I use a Vibralite3. BUT it got crunched in the accident I had My Baby got

Now I'm looking for a timing device of some sort that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is no more cumbersome than a wrist watch.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, I can't remember if you are pumping, but if you have a pump, then you can set an alarm on there that will vibrate or beep. Whichever. Otherwise, if you have a cell phone that you carry on your belt or with you all the time, you could set a vibrate alarm on there too.

In all the years I've been diabetic I've never been concerned about testing at exactly 2 hours. Life, our bodies, and glucose raising characteristics of different foods vary enough that testing at precisely 2 hours post prandial seem like a waste of effort for the return. I check often, anyway, so I've checked BEFORE 2 hours has elapsed.

I have never been that concerned about the two hour test, but to answer your question, I would use my cell phone (it only takes ten seconds to set the alarm or on mine and I can set it for up to five different alarms per day). Because I always have mine with me, it is not cumbersome, but if you don't usually keep one with you, then maybe it would be.

A temporary solution could be a small, digital kitchen timer, perhaps? I looked online for cute gadgets, but didn't find anything perfect.

Because you were happy with the Vibralite3, why not replace it? Shouldn't your insurance cover that?

I am sorry about your accident. Sad. Sad. Sad. Sad. Sad. But happy that you are OK.

I have a trusty Casio watch that has a countdown timer permanently set to two hours. All I have to do it start it when I inject and test when the alarm sounds.
