Don't Leave Home Without It

So I'm away for a few days on business, I'm D and hypothyroid...and somehow I left home without my Synthroid. Has anyone done this? Am I at danger of being without it for 3 days? I'm already a bit run down and ragged this week.

Advice please...

Meh. You'll be fine. Constipated, but fine.

I'm with Duck on this one Statty. You should be just fine. I've been without mine once while camping. Went 2 days without it but I was ok.
I hope you can get rested up soon. Take care !!

Hubby forgets his 2 or 3 days in a row, with no problem.....except, Duck I didn't know that could be causing him to have the constipation problem. Now maybe he will listen to me when I nag him to take his pills! Do you know someplace online where it says not taking it can cause that problem? It would help to have something to back up my nagging, other than "Duck said so."

100% agree as well. The anxiety and if like me, just the reminder you didn't take it causes more psycosomatic symptoms more then anything IMHO.

As usual you should always talk to your doctor.

I don't take thyroxine<sp?> but know many who have stopped and started abruptly with little to no side effects.

I'd be interested to know why it causes constipation too! If anyone knows or has guesses, please share.

Like everyone said, you should be fine. if you are worried about it, go to a pharmacy, explain to pharmacist what happened and they will most likely be able to sell you three days worth with out a script (if you are in the US, i'm not sure about other countries).
