Byetta, AFTER you've eaten

Suppose you're out and about and eat, but you don't take your Byetta shot before the meal (cause you were out and about). Will it harm you if you've taken it after you've eaten? Will it still have the same effect?

Byetta after eating or with existing high BG seems to cause me to go hypo.
