How long for low dose aspirin to work?

I took my first one last night and today my finger sticks don't want to stop bleeding.

Am I imagining things or does it work that quickly?

Mark

I have been taking the low dose for 10 years with no change with my fingers.

Mine depend on which finger I use. My index fingers are difficult and I don't even use the left one. (I am left handed) My "juiciest" fingers are my ring fingers closely followed by my pinky fingers. I don't ever use my thumbs.

You are not imagining things. It works that quickly. You might be able to set you lancer to poke your finger more shallowly now that you bleed so freely. More shallow lancing usually hurts less.

It works almost instantly. That's why the Docs suggest taking a regular strength aspirin if you suspect you just had a heart attack. It thins the blood.
