Hi I am new here. Was curious to know if anyone has tried alternative treatments for type 2 diabetes? I am otherwise healthy 44 year old looking for something other then traditional methods. I have been reading & seems to me like there are some great products out there.Thank you in advance.

Laura, welcome to DF !

Keep reading the DF, go to pre-diabetes, some members there
have tried different methods, some are still off meds. Like herbs, excercise, low carb diet, etc.

In my own case, I need meds to control the Diabetes. and the other traditional methods used by the docs.

Have you had an A1C yet? how was it?

Low carb diets, exercise, weight loss.

Keeping your blood glucose within normal range is paramount. Do what you have to do to get it there.
