Domperidone

I have bentaking Doperidone for a few months now for nausea. Today I picked up my repeat prescription and the drug was in a new packet. I aways make sure I read the leaflet enclosed if anything looks different.

It say that Domperidone should not be used for more than 12 weeks. but non of my docs have mentioned this to me. And I fin it slightly worrimg as there is no explanation as to why it should not be used for more than 12 weeks.

anyone have any idea?

Rich

Is it possible the warning is intended for women who use the drug for lactating?

I've been on it way longer than that with no intentions of going off it.

Fear not. It is a very safe drug. The warning is just generic.

My 9 year old daughter took it for about a year and a half....nothing was ever said about a time limit although, you should be followed by a doctor.
