Fine Tuning Cortisteroids/Insulin

Has anyone else noticed that when using Cortisone or Prednisone that it doesn't so much have an effect on basal rates as when you eat? I find that my basal only goes up a little, but if I eat something, it takes more insulin to correct for the carbs/proteins. In fact, it seems that the more carbs consumed, my ratio goes up algorithmically.

Or am I just imagining things?

I always thought it just went up unpredictably, but I think I am seeing a pattern.

Is this a DUH?

Mich

Could it be that it lessens liver dumping?
